I am testing several applications on Compaq iPaqs H3850 (206 MHz StrongARM processor, 32 MB RAM, PocketPC CE 3.0). I am testing on four PDAs, three work correctly but one gives me some problems in the COM port managing.
I tried to BackUp image of a working PDA to the not working (OS and all the software). I tried to install Pocket PC 2002 Service Pack 1 to fix the bug but one iPaq continues to do not work. I am sure that is not an hardware problem (I already cheked it) so I think something is incorrect on the ROM installation. I would want to backUp ROM image from a working PDA and restoring it on the not working PDA.
I downloaded from handheld.com the "iPAq PocketPC Restoration Project" using Bootloader application. But this document refers mainly to a Linux installation on the iPaq so I would like to know if it exists a document that only decribes how to BackUp and Restore ROM image on a PDA, and where I can try it.
Can you help me??
