I bricked my iPAQ 38xx months ago when by doing something foolish and
trying the old bootloader before it was ready for the new series.
Once you have a bricked iPAQ, how does one go about fixing it? I
imagine the general case solution involves talking to Compaq support,
but I do not have a consumer version of the iPAQ. Mine is an
engineer's sample, thus I cannot just send it to Compaq support. Are
there any pointers to instructions for interfacing directly to the
flash(through jtag or something else). I imagine that I can get
access to the hardware equipment, I just don't have the knowledge to
interface with the flash from the bricked form.
