Hi,
I have bought a used 3870 to replace my own aging version. The new one has
your revision 2.19.70 already loaded, which was a nice surprise as I intend
to try Linux when I find the time.
In the meanwhile, I want to load my backup file to the new unit, but before
I can do that I need to upgrade it from PocketPC2002 to 2003. But when
upgrading, I can't get the "Remote USB update" window to appear. I have
tried simultaneously pressing Buttons 2 & 4 & Power while resetting with
stylus (recommended procedure) many times, and it just boots through the
iPAQ splash screen into the Today screen without bringing up the "Remote USB
Update" window. Since I have successfully run this procedure on 2 other
iPAQs I assume this has something to do with the presence of the bootloader.
Can you help?
