Try doing a hard reset while being plugged into the charger. Make sure
that the battery reload LED is blinking. The bootloader (or the OS
later) is responsible for charging the battery, so the system needs to
be turned on. If the battery is drained, reseting then connecting to
charger does nothing because the bootloader hasn't started.
If you were really low on power, that vibration might have drained the
little you had left (mechanical motions like that drain more power),
causing your next reset to do nothing.
