This is really a question for familiar@handhelds.org.
Try reloading the kernel image. There is definitely a problem with it. You
might want to re-download the kernel from familiar.handhelds.org, making
sure that you use binary mode for transfer. If possible, use the md5sum
tool to verify that it was downloaded correctly (see
http://www.handhelds.org/z/wiki/md5sum for windows support)
