Hello,
I tried to install a version of linux on a ipaq(3765).
Using the following steps ..
Successfully installed bootldr 2.17.13 on WinCE ..
partition reset
partition delete root
partion define params 0x40000 0x40000 0
partion define kernel 0x80000 0x80000 0
partion define root 0x00200000 0x00300000 0
partion define usr 0x00500000 0x00500000 0
set boot_type flash
set kernel_partition kernel
params save
flashed the kernel, init, root and usr to the correct
locations.
followed the other steps and booted the machine.
The steps worked and the machine booted into linux.
Then i had some problems with /dev/mixer .. and i
tried to reinstall the kernel ..
but now
partition reset
partition delete root
partion define params 0x40000 0x40000 0
gives me --->
argv[1]=define
******** malloc out of storage ********
size=00000008
Error allocating space for name
The machine does not boot anymore .. its just freezes
at the boot> prompt !!!
Any ideas on how to get around this problem will be
highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Regards
- jh
