problems loading bootldr 2.19.55 on a 3870

hi, i've got a problem!
i'm trying to flash the 2.19.55 bootloader on my ipaq 3870, cuase i
need the reflash capability of this version,
but whathever i try it always gives me the same error

i started with 2.18.54 and with a trial and error approach i ended up
being able to flash 2.19.46 but mr. 55 was impossible for me.
any ideas?
btw. i dloaded it from the usual handhelds.org/feeds/bootldr/
