Can bootldr be installed on a crashed ipaq 3870?

Would you please help me?

About two weeks ago, I tried to flash the rom from PPC2002 to WinCE.net but unfortunately with a wrong ROM image and my ipaq is dead now. I tried to enter the USB-remote-update mode but no response, hard reset also doesn't work. Until few days ago the only response from ipaq is when I hold Power, Calender, Task and push Reset, I could see Compaq in write on a red background but now it also disappered.

Can you please advise if it can be repaired? If yes, what do I need (devices & softwares) if I want to repair it myself?
