I was told by AntiProxy to send this email in hopes that I didn't Brick my
3870. I was in the process of upgrading from familiar 0.6.0pre1 to 0.6.1
and noticed that I needed to update my bootloader from 2.18.48 to 2.18.54.
The instructions provided only had how to install the bootloader from wince
so I winged it, got to the boot> prompt and entered load bootldr. I
uploaded the bootldr through xmodem and smugly to myself how clever I was
as I rebooted the iPaq. Much to my dismay, the screen went blank and
hasn't come back yet. Just for giggles I have hit the reset button several
times, nothing.... AntiProxy suggested a calendar + start + reset and that
hasn't worked either. Any suggestions before I turn this in to a
paperweight or send it back to Compaq?
Here is the output from what I did:
requiring a bootldr or parrot image.
