Hi,

In order to get my ipaq to boot Linux I followed carefully the following
instructions:
http://mstempin.free.fr/linux-ipaq/html_nochuncks/Linux-IPAQ-HOWTO-1.1.h
tml

At point 4.2 FLASHING THE BOOTLOADER
my Ipaq hangs. I see no activitity at all and the screen gets disturbed.
a reset of
the Ipaq gets it back without any trouble in Windows CE (phew).

I have a Compaq Ipaq 3970
64MB ram
48MB rom

I used Bootblaster_1.9.exe <- in the instructions they use
Bootblaster_1.8.exe..
The bootloader i used is "bootldr-2.18.01.bin. I checked the md5sum of
both files
and they were correct.

Do you know a solution for me to install the bootloader ? I really want
to install Linux
thats why i bought the device in the first place.

The only thing i did different than the manual states is i used
Bootblaster_1.9.exe instead
of Bootblaster_1.8.exe.

Thank you in advance for possible tips?

Smassie.
