H3900 invalid bootloader image

I have a Compaq iPaq H3950. I got bootblaster3900.exe from /feeds on
the FTP site, and I got that installed OK.
But if I try to install a bootldr.bin image, I get
"bootldr-2.19.8.bin is not a valid bootloader image".
I've also tried bootldr-2.18.01.bin.

Is there a specific version of bootldr that I should be using?
Or should I build it from sources?
