You probably need to kill the Activesync application on your desktop
because it will take Com1 and not let hyperterminal use that port. Once
you have fixed that problem, you will want to press the center of the
joypad button while doing a soft reset and that should bring you to the
linux bootloader screen on the ipaq. Then establish your hyperterminal
session and proceed from there.

Well This was a nice help tip. But this did not work.
The thing that worked was, change the ActiveSynch COM port to any other
port other than COM1.
And do as what is told on the bootloader instructions page.
