The bootldr list is really not the place for this. Ask for help on ipaq@handhelds.org

You should not have used boot-serial. Reflash with task-bootstrap.

You shouldn't have to be loading modules.

Did you get them from the feed? You usually get these sort of errors when your modules weren't compiled for your kernel, which implies that you have obtained either a kernel or modules that isn't from the 5.3 stable feed.

?? I don't know what you're decomrpressing them for -- I don't recal anything saying you should do that. Did you verify them after making them like the instructions say? Looks like they weren't written out to the SD card properly.
There are instructions for attempting to get WinCE back on with out a saved image, but good luck. Your best hope now is to get Linux working properly.

Doesn't work that way, you have to reflash. You need the wince image on your desktop, not on the SD card. Linux cannot read the SD card, and currently (AFAIK) the bootldr cannot read an MMC card either.

Ask for help on the ipaq list.
