Familiar 0.5.01 install on H3850

I followed the installation procedure to install Familiar on my iIPAQ
H3850. I made backups of the WinCE files (4) before installing the
bootloader. I used WinCE ActiveSync to copy Bootblaster.exe to Wince,
ran bootblaster to load bootldr.bin 2.18.01 and then proceeded with the
Familiar install instructions. It went smoothly until configuring iPAQ
Internet access, which I still haven't figured out how to do. Linux
boots, gets to login via minicom. My iPAQ is halfway usable. When I
press the "Task Manager" button while displaying the ARM bootloader
splash screen, it takes me to a purplish screen with a penguin in the
upper left screen, doing nothing else. I recently got a 5 Gb PCMCIA hard
drive with a dual-slot PCMCIA expansion pack on its way. When I
installed Familiar, I had the "naked" iPAQ. I would like to dual-boot
between WinCE and Linux Familiar, boot WinCE from compactflash and boot
Familiar from the PCMCIA hard drive with X and KDE. When I use the
command "load root" to flash the WinCE image back onto compactflash, it
gives me the message "load: not found". The question is: Can I still
restore WinCE and give the Familiar install another try and if so, how?

Thank you.
