Yeah, but we can improve the boot speed a lot when we disable all
modules/services that we don't need on our device. Once we have all
things working we can optimize the kernel and boot process, and then
we have a really cool pda :-p

Well, you need to set up usb networking. Do you have linux? Then the
usbnet module is what you need. You can follow this guide:

If you are using windows, you are out of luck for the moment. Normally
you can use the driver from here:
http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/WindowsXpUsbNetworkHowTo, but I
couldn't get it to work. I think I have to enable some options in the
kernel, I'll have a look at it when I'm on my windows develop machine.
