x50v Serial Cable

I have been wanting to support the porters of Linux to the x50v for some time
now. I see that one of the hurdles concerns the lack of serial cables. Could
I donate a serial cable or two? Would that help? I see that they are ~$40 US,
but I do have a spare USB sync cable that I could donate if someone could
turn that into a serial cable. Otherwise, I would be willing to invest $40 US
in your efforts to actually buy one.

If you want that charging connector that came with the unit, to turn into a
serial cable (I don't know if its possible) then I will gladly donate that
too. Just tell me to where to send it (I am in Israel).
