Re: Goooooood news, touch screen works !

Hi all,

        This is good news! Going in the right direction...

        I have an Axiom x50 with Humanware's Maestro/Trekker software running on WM 2003 to give voice output since I am blind. I use linux with speakup on my desktop/laptop machines and would love to have linux with speech output (preferably speakup) on the Dell. Does anyone have any idea of the feasibility of this? I figure if speech output can be done under WM2003, it should be possible and better under linux... I suspect that drivers for the speech tts and audio chips will be the hurdle?

        Thanks for any feedback/observations in this regard. Is anyone, in fact looking at this area at present?
