I think you have a wrong idea of having windows and linux on the pda.

Windows is installed on the ROM, and when you hard reset the pda you get
it, for using linux you have to boot haret with the kernel image and
initrd and the possible mountes filesystems.

So if you want linux you boot haret, and if you want windows you hard
reset the pda and restore the data of the RAM that you previously saved.
