Unfortunately, I won't have time to improve the port from now to
mid-march. One of the first things to try is to lower SPI frequency
(300000 and 100000 may be tested, but a better way is probably to read
SPI config register when running WM5).
After that, /etc/ts.conf should be tuned for X50/X51(v). Perhaps it will
require to adapt tslib plugins...

I still keep a (working) prototype for battery monitoring, but it has to
be ported to the new ADS7846 device independent driver. If someone wants
to do the job before march 20th, I can send this code.

Let's have a quick review of some the other remaining tasks :

* bluetooth is in progress thanks to Jean-Nicolas.

* distro integration is on the way thanks to Patrick.

* IrDA,

* backlight control should be easy to support, as it probably implies
XScale PWM module.

* i2s and wm8750 drivers are now available : they need to be tested.

* A common problem is how to interface TC200G ? It is likely to be
involved in power button, bluetooth, lock, PCMCIA, LEDS, VGA switch (aka
mirror mode). Hours of exploration with HaRET in perspective... Axim
Diagnostic tool could be useful here.

* i2700G (marathon) driver also needs to be tested and probably fixed if
we want to have MPEG/2D/3D acceleration one of these days...

* DiskOnChip G3 should be quite easy to support, as the driver is
already available. Of course, this job could be "dangerous" as it may
damage the Dell flash images...

* Wifi device and acx111 driver may be explored.

* the PM stuff, suspend/resume is also important : the autonomy of X51v
dramatically decreases when running the current OE/Linux.

* OPIE image build/tests

Well, you just have to make your choice in this list ;-)

If you are testing the port, feel free to update the status page when
required.
