"We" is me and a colleague who is more experienced in programming
linux kernel drivers. He has already altered the ircomm kernel driver
so we won't have to do a "ifconfig ircomm0 up" in userspace. It is
working with two laptops, but like I said, we'll have to get the irda
on the x50v working first. Would be much easier if we had framebuffer
output ;-)

Thanks for the info! We'll surely look into it (but I'm afraid I won't
have much spare time this weekend).

I'll search for such a program. If it doesn't exist, it won't be hard
to make myself, as I'm programming for the pocketpc in my research
projects (networked virtual environments).

I love learning, so I definately give it a try!

Thanks man! Really appreciated!
