Is USB support still that far away? It seemed like a trivial task on
the other ports. Looking at the kernel output from one of the previous
posts, there was just a problem with the kernel modules. When you guys
got usb networking up and running, my guess is that a lot more
testers/contributers will show up, as making a serial cable isn't a
trivial task.
Is there some way (till I make my serial cable) to check if the kernel
is actually loaded? Shouldn't there be a penguin with a thermometer
filling up? Can't I make the device beep or something, using a linux
command (by altering the linuxrc script)?
And about the framebuffer. Didn't I read some days ago that someone
had the x50v screen running? Didn't it have to do something with the
initialisation being different with the external display support of
the x50v?
And if I get my serial cable, which files should I use? The files at
the hh.org download page? Or should I use the files added at your
homepage and the mailinglist (haret_uart.exe and the new kernel)?
I really look forward to tinkering with this...
