The serial, USB cable I put together plus using the software pieces that
you kindly posted to try booting on a serial console just give me an
"Error Dialog box "Failed to load kernel \CFCard\Linux\zImagex30s"
from HARet after a soft reset (just the reset button in back, not the
power button and the reset button in the back).
"Detected CPU family: Unknown"....
The older kernel I built with a modified version of the default.txt just locks
the PDA, requiring a hard reset, and a restore :-( .
I am running the max232 off the power on the laptop serial port,
and have 4.5 volts power for the max232.
What did you do to verify the functioning of your serial cable under
PPC2003?
I have a text console under PocketPriCk2003. I tried the obvious like
writing to COM1. What did you use for the serial terminal. It doesn't
appear that hotsync or any of the other M$ software supports the serial
output.
There you go ... traffic.
