actually i am not working on usb-net as it is already
fixed in the mainline kernel, all we need is a working
2.6.17 kernel
anyway time for a status update:
still compiling the toolchain, i had a massive
hardware upgrade (now 5x the speed and 4x the ram) so
i expect to be getting things up and running for the
next couple of days
all work will be done against the kernel.org tree not
the handhelds one, i never understood why the forked
the kernel but they have and it takes time for them to
push patches back from what i have read, by that time
the problem is also normally fixed
i dont really care about package managment as i am
only trying to get the kernel booting, once it does
then you can easilly get familliar running. it uses
ipkg which is an embedded version of dpkg (you can
even use it to install arm dpkgs)
i use it on my Z and have had no problems but i can
understand why you might want to do it diffrently.
anyway its not my desicion, if you want to use it then
i suggest you subscirbe to the familliar mailing list
and post questions about it there
