RE: Alive :)

Hi, I would love to see linux on my Axim x30 high. I'm an experianced
programer but with limited knowledge of linux. I would be up for doing any
misc tasks that don't require in-depth linux knowledge though ;)

Chris.

This would be helpful to me, too. I've got an Axim x30low. Thanks for
restarting the project! Yay!

I'd love that. I have the high model. I unfortunately can't do anything
with it until we have working WiFi, as it is my portable internet, but I'd
love upgrading my last Windows-based thing to linux.

I'm with sacralux_at_gmx.net -- more than willing to help (I have an X30med
w/ bluetooth & wifi), but I would need some basic instructions to get
started. I've been playing with the penguin since RedHat 5.2, and I'm
typing this on Ubuntu Dapper. The one thing I haven't successfully done
(though I've tried on a few occasions) is to compile a kernel from
scratch. So it would be cool if I could learn how to do that at the
same time ;) .... I'll be interested to check out Jay's cross-compiler
once it's ready!
Cheers!

It is great to see some movement here. I have an Axim X30 with wifi and
bt, which I use quite a lot -- mostly as a portable book reader and
library; and the ability to keep the hardware alive with linux sounds
very good.
Ready to help with what I can - testing/docs/etc. :)

I'd love to see some more progress here to the point I can begin to
provide assistance. Like someone else said we just need a little kernel
hacker help and the rest should begin to fall in place.

Perhaps we could prioritize these tasks and maybe even consider
paying out code bounties for completion of tasks?
I'd chip in for sure.
Also, the wiki page is good but perhaps we could expand and provide a
bit of project management functionality via the web? I'd be glad to
help with that. Thoughts Jay?
Just throwing out ideas...

Great idea, I'd chip in too.

How about starting a new Google Code project for managing tickets and
maintaining code?

Let's get this thing rolling again. :-D
