I dont think everyone has given up on it. Progress is slower than I
would like, and because my resources are given to other projects (open
source stuff, my company and my day job) I have not had time to really
contribute, other than to lend my voice to those who would find it
useful.
That said, I would like to see us announce something, even if it is
that we have only got FB working and still have a way to go, as the
project could do with raised awareness to bring more
testers/contributors along. It appears, from the wiki page, that most
of the hardware has been identified, as well as a way forward for the
SD slot. The wiki page has been modified only last month - albeit with
trivial mods, but it shows that someone is still interested enough to
try.
Maybe when I have fewer projects on, I will turn my hand to it and see
what I can do.
