I've been lurking here for awhile and have wondered the same things. It's
good to hear that this will most likely be backportable! I don't see a
problem with the x50 crowd continuing to use this list if that's the case, in
fact I would say that it's probably better that way.

Continuing in the "me too" vein: is there someone actively working on the X30
port who could update us on the status? Plus, I'm a little lost on how to
go about trying this out/helping... Do I really need to solder a serial
connection onto one of my usb cables in order to install it? It seems like
there should be a way to access it via USB on one of my linux boxen.

Okay, thanks for everybody's hard work on this - I'm really looking forward
to getting the MS virus off my X30.
