i belive the x50v still uses the pxa frame buffer but
copies it from the 2700g chip to be displayeed (ie
rendered in the video card then swaped to the pxa
frame buffer)

i belive this fro several reasons, one i dont see dell
coming up with c difrent board and sowftware just for
one model in a product line, two the 2700g chip sort
of specifies that this thing has to be done to support
dual screens (ie to get the 2 screens one has to be
connected to the pxa framebuffer) when this is done
the pxa frame buffer acts as a normal frame buffer and
cannont be accelerated

oh well i hope you get it working it would be great
for video or even better with the new open gl
accelerated x windows, i might even get a new pda
(again :))
