we didn't seem to have that problem with the x30, as far as i know
Giuseppe changed the framebuffer driver (the registers were wrong) and it
booted. I tought this worked for the x50 also. I haven't heard from him
some time now.
After Giuseppe got the framebuffer working i joined. i got the touchscreen
(most likely sound also) and the buttons working. this was just changing
the gpio's used in those drivers. somehow the touchscreen+sound driver
crashes if the mmc driver gets loaded. I think this might be a wrong
setting in the driver, but i haven't been able to figure it out exactly.

I contacted him for some sugestions on restructuring the axim code in the
kernel, if this is done the code will be a lot clearer. right now there
are 3 copies of the same code (aximx5, aximx3 and aximx30) in there. And
the x50 comes also soon.
