Hope I'm not repeating something already said (as I
receive emails on a daily digest).
Anyways, the wiki page for the port states that "It's
a standard AC97 codec with 16-bit audio and 3d stereo
enhancement effects, plus some A/D for I/O such as
battery level. Not sure if they are used for this but
seems likely as its a very bare bones system and very
little has been added in terms of monolithic chips.
Chip ID WM9705 "
Dell's website also confirms this technical spec.

I have a relatively simple question myself, but it's
about the mailing list. Are there any archives for
this list on the web? If so, it doesn't seem the one
linked on the mailing list website
<http://www.handhelds.org/hypermail/aximx30-port/current/>
works.
Thanks,
Eugene
