I'd like to see buildd extended to handle cross compiles. I think it is
a good place to start. "control" could have something like:
Target-Build-Depends: xlibs-dev
Host-Build-Depends: groff
So that libs and tools are handled differently. In some cases the tool
will need to be added to both places, and could probably use the
existing:
Build-Depends: foo
"rules" would be expected to handle "arm-linux-gcc" or "arm-uclibc-gcc"
style cross compile tools.
It should be possible to build a list of Build-Depends that are libs or
tools or both and get this up and running for many packages in a short
amount of time.
buildd for cross compiles. Perhaps that's embbuildd? or just embd? ;-)
Thoughts?
