Unfornately I can't help you in that area, I'm not developing Opie but
only porting hardware and adopting Opie to work with this device.

It's better first send patches into opie-devel_at_handhelds.org list or send
directly to Paul Eggleton he is currently active developer in opie

You can also send me, so I could attach to next builds if for some reason
patches will not be merged into opie tree (or partialy).

As above, I can't help in this matter. Try talk with Paul Eggleton over
IRC, he is frequently on the channel, but you may get some issues with
diffrent timezones.
