[asus-port] Mypal A716: keypad temporary not work and other problems

Hello everyone,
    I installed opie(
http://www.handhelds.org/~aquadran/distro/opie/release-20070718/
)into my Mypal.
I have several problems.
First, keypad will temporarily stop functioning, that is,UP, DOWN,
LEFT, RIGHT, ACTION(joypad button) will not work now and then. I have
to do hardreset to get it working again.
This is quite annoying I need them to play snes9x games.
I don't know if this has something to do with suspend/resume the machine.

Second, It's about my wireless card. Download primary firmware to RAM
basicly always failed with an input/output error. I did get it
working only once.

Third, opie gets freezed very easily while none-GUI functions right.
now if I can, I always keep a ssh connection to my machine in case
opie freeze I can exec /etc/init.d/opie restart. Do you have any
other workaround other than hard reset?

Fourth, Console, Kconsole, File Manager as well as some other programs
can't display Chinese characters. Either doesn't work after choosing a
Chinese font or worse, no option to choose a font.
There are programs working properly after font configuration,such as
textedit and opie quick lanucher.
konqueror-embed can only display unicode Chinese but not GBK encoded Chinese.

Last, shutdown or reboot leave my machine in the status, blue LED on,
the same as after soft reset. Shutdown will not "shutdown" and "Reboot
will not "reboot".
