Hi,

I've got an unused MyPAL A716, I decide to put Linux on.
I've changed the bootloader with the most recent (with choice to boot on CF or
SD in FAT or ext2, or WinCE).

But to install or boot on Linux from my CF I've got a problem.
launching zImage OK
so booting linux and generating a Kernel panic

Waiting 2sec before mounting root device...
VFS: Cannot open root device "hda1" or unknown-block(0,0)
Please append a correct "root" boot option
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

Same error when changing root=/dev/sda1 (in param file under /boot in CF)

With /dev/ram0, I've got this:
Waiting 2sec before mounting root device...
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(1,0)

So, with device I must put in the root option of the param file.

CF formated with gparted, opie untared with the command line on the site

Thanks for your help
