Much thanks Kevin!
Intermediate results:
- I see no problems on hx4700
- HTC Apache seems not have any issues so far
- HTC Universal reported to have issues using high frequences, and still
nobody knows why.
No results from Asus guys regarding my patch, yet. Though, I've received
mail from Michal Sroczynski, regarding why Asus using full featured PWR_I2C:
"Only reason was speed. But it makes difference, because iirc pxa switches
frequency faster than i2c sends byte. And sequencer is 2.5 times slower.
I don't remember exact numbers, but i think it's worth a little complication
to have much faster frequency switches."
Which sounds a bit unconvincing, because pxa27x_voltage rising voltage
prior to rise frequency, and drops it after freq downgrade, thus there
should no any timing or other fatal drawbacks using sequencer.
Anyway, if Asus will report failure, then score will 2:2 (2 ports working,
and 2 not working), and we should try using full featured PWR_I2C. :-/
