Hi all,
I started compiling the kernel for A730w and I stopped during make with
the following error:
HOSTCC usr/gen_init_cpio
/usr/src/linux-2.6.18.1-A730Wpatched/scripts/gen_initramfs_list.sh:
Cannot open 'initramfs/initramfs_list'
make[1]: *** [usr/initramfs_data.cpio.gz] Error 1
make: *** [usr] Error 2
I read the Documentation/early-userspace/README ... but
- Should "initramfs/initramfs_list" be (set by my .config) a directory
- if so should exist, and should be a tree structure of filesystem ?
or should be an empty directory!
I can't google clear information. have you had this problem, too?
Thank you
Enzo P.
My compiling environment:
distro ubuntu server 6.06.1 (on VMware! sigh I can't use native one)
cross compiler: arm-linux-gcc-3.4.1.tar.bz2
kernel: from kernel.org: linux-2.6.18.1.tar.bz2
patch: lnx.utl.ru/a730/downloads/diffs/linux-2.6.18.1-a730.patch.bz2
